The camp ground MUNDO  CHALIO  is halfway between Playa del

                               Carmen and Tulum .                                     

How to find us :
The small village Xpu Ha (pronounced * Schpu Hu *), with its campground MUNDO CHALIO, is located halfway between the cities TULUM and PLAYA DEL CARMEN.

Tulum is well known to all camper / tourists by its beautiful Mayan ruins right on the Caribbean beach.

Playa del Carmen 30 years ago was still a small fishing village with only few poor huts. Now it is a tourist center and the fastest growing city in Mexico.

These two cities are linked by the well-developed four-lane expressway  *307* which connects the town of Chetumal on the border to Belize with Cancun and its international airport.

You arrive from the South: Take the expressway "307" from the direction of Tulum and head north, direction Cancun. Look for the  kilometer displays. Directly at kilometer "265" there are huge signs for a restaurant and a diving school. Here you turn off the expressway and after approximately 700 meters you will find the camp ground  MUNDO CHALIO on the left side.

Coming from the North: Take the expressway "307" from the direction of Cancun and head south, towards Tulum / Chetumal. Look for the kilometer displays. Near the mile "265" you pass a PEMEX petrol station. Immediately after the petrol station, take the * RETORNO * to the opposite track and drive about 300 meters back to the north, towards Playa del Carmen. To the right of the street are huge signs for a restaurant and a diving school. Here you turn off the expressway and after approximately 700 meters you will find the camp ground  MUNDO CHALIO on the left side.
